Martín brings more than 35 years of experience in financial advisory, investment banking and private equity. Before joining Fenix Partners in 2019, he was the Founding Partner of Prefinex, an independent M&A firm specialized in mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and fund raising. Martin has participated in more than 150 M&A transactions in a variety of industries and sectors. Martín received a B.S. in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina, where he has been teaching Finance courses for more than 30 years.

Martin has participated in more than 150 M&A transactions in a variety of industries and sectors including automotive, food & beverage, construction, cement, real estate, paper, iron, steel and textile, among others. Martín is a member of the Board of companies in Central America and President of Latam Hotel Corp, Génesis Energías and Cechsa (Brassavola thermal power plant). Martín received a B.S. in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica Argentina, where he has been teaching Corporate Finance courses for more than 30 years. He has also taught the business valuation module in an M&A course at the Torcuato Di Tella University.

Sebastián brings 18 years of experience in investment banking in Buenos Aires and London, where he was based from 1999 to 2006. Before merging AST with Fenix Partners, he co-founded AST Partners, an investment banking firm focused on corporate finance advisory in Argentina, where he was involved in a broad range of assignments including M&A advisory roles and capital raisings in Argentina and Latin America. Prior to that, Sebastián was Associate Director at HSBC Bank (London, UK), where he specialized in acquisition financing and debt advisory with UK and European coverage. Sebastián’s expertise includes M&A advisory, project financing and capital raising. He has experience in several industries, including Agribusiness (partial sale of Satus Ager to Victoria Capital, partial sale of Milkaut to Patagonia), Aviation (Menzies acquisition of Desacol), Infrastructure (Abertis acquisition of TBI) and Media (financial advisory to Grupo Prisa, Dixons, O2), among others. Sebastián has an Economics degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.

Tristán has more than 25 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, mainly in Buenos Aires and New York where he lived from 2001 to 2010. Before merging AST with Fenix, he was co-founder of AST Partners, an investment banking firm. Tristán previously served as Managing Director at DFC Associates, as an associate at The Exxel Group and as an analyst at Hermes Management Consulting. His field of experience includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, project financing, fund raising and private equity investments. He has advised on various transactions in various industries including the sale of Aivo to Engageware, the sale of 3XM to Allata, the purchase of Pamaq, Aquamaq and Prisma Water by Waterlogic, the sale of IncluIt to Avenga (a portfolio company of Oaktree Capital Management), the sale of Empretienda to Uala, the sale of Sofrecom Argentina (a subsidiary of Orange) to Grupo Olmos, the sale of Subiton to Biocomposites (a portfolio company of TA Associates), the purchase of Quintana Well Pro from Quintana Energy, the sale of Aquafree to Waterlogic, the sale of Ditecar (licensee of Volvo, Jaguar and Land Rover) to CAFO, the purchase of Laboratorios Nova by The Rohatyn Group, the purchase of Talsar by Rotoplas, the purchase of Delibest by The Rohatyn Group, the sale of Brandigital to WPP Group, the sale of Apex América to Sykes, the sale of Allus BPO to Eton Park, the sale of Grupo Multivoice to Xerox and the sale of Actionline (subsidiary of WPP Group) to Aegis Global. His expertise in M&A advisory includes advising Waterlogic on its LATAM development; advising companies such as EOG and Orange in their country exit strategy; advising families in the total sale of their business such as PEISA and Labmed; advising companies such as Schlumberger and Grupo Rotoplas in their country entry strategy; and advising companies such as Mercuria, ROCH, Seeds Energy and President Energy in the search for partners and investors. Esteban received a BS in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina and an MBA from the Stern School of Business (NYU).

Since his return to Buenos Aires, Francisco has participated in oil and gas transactions including YPF, Schlumberger, Pampa Energia, Crown Point, Mercuria, Roch, Apco, EOG Resources, ENAP Sipetrol, CGC, President Energy and Azabache Energy. Francisco has also advised companies such as Celulosa Argentina, Orange, Voltu, Semtive, Quintana Well Pro, Sociedad Comercial del Plata, and Ecogas, amongst others. Francisco has also conducted private equity investments in Bodega Chakana, Seeds Energy and in Romi Chile. Francisco received a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina.
