Esteban Olivera | Managing Partner

Esteban is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial advisory, investment banking and private equity.
Before founding Fenix Partners in 2002, Esteban was a Managing Director and Member of the Board at Nación AFJP, Commercial Manager at Banco Privado de Inversiones, Founder and Managing Director at Compañía Privada de Tarjetas de Crédito and Analyst at BBVA Banco Francés.
His expertise in M&A advisory in the energy sector includes advising Liminar Energía in the capitalization of Crown Point Energy; advising Roch in the capitalization by Magna Capital; advising Mercuria Energy Group and Roch in the acquisition of Chevron Argentina's E&P assets; advising CGC in the Farm out of two E&P assets; advising Roch in the capitalization of the company by the IFC and advising San Enrique Petrolera's shareholders in the sale of the company. Esteban was also involved in advising Grupo Rotoplas in its acquisition of Talsar; advising Interpatagonia's shareholders in the sale of a majority stake to Grupo Clarín; advising Romi SRL in the restructuring of its financial debt and advising American Assist International in its development in Argentina. Esteban has also conducted private equity investments in Bodega Chakana, IGS, and in Romi Chile.
Esteban received a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business (NYU). Esteban is fluent in Spanish and English, and has a working knowledge in Portuguese and Italian.

Francisco Soldati | Managing Partner

Francisco is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings more than 20 years of experience in investment banking in Buenos Aires and London, where he was based from 1996 to 2003.
Before joining Fenix Partners, Francisco was a Vice President in the Oil and Gas team at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and part of the South American Energy team at Cazenove and Co. in London.
His international experience includes numerous transactions in the Oil and Gas sector, including advising Gaz de France, Ruhrgas and Gazprom in the acquisition of 49% of SPP (USD 2.7 Bn); Xstrata in the acquisition of Asturiana de Zinc (€ 0.5 Bn); Shell in the acquisition of Comgas (USD 1 Bn) and Lasmo in the sale of its Colombian assets (USD 150m). Other clients included: Petronas (Malaysia), Statoil (Norway), OMV (Austria), PKN (Poland), Rosneft (Russia), Petrobras (Brazil), Pluspetrol (Argentina), Sipetrol (Chile), ENAP (Chile) and Copec (Chile).
Since his return to Buenos Aires, Francisco has participated in oil and gas transactions including Crown Point, Mercuria, Roch, Apco, EOG Resources, ENAP Sipetrol, CGC, Azabache Energy, YPF and San Enrique Petrolera, amongst others. Francisco has also conducted private equity investments in Bodega Chakana and in Romi Chile.
Francisco received a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina and is fluent in Spanish, English and French.

Tristán López Gordillo | Managing Partner

Tristán is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the private equity and investment banking industries, primarily in Buenos Aires and New York where he lived from 2001 to 2010.
Before merging AST with Fenix Partners, he co-founded AST Partners, an investment banking firm. Tristán was previously a Managing Director at DFC Associates, an associate at The Exxel Group and an analyst at Hermes Management Consulting.
His expertise includes M&A advisory, project financing, fund raising and private equity investments. He has advised in a number of transactions in several fields, in particular the business services industry, including Apex America sale to Sykes Enterprises, Allus BPO sale to Eton Park, Grupo Multivoice sale to Xerox Inc. and WPP-controlled Actionline sale to Aegis Global BPO.
Tristán received a B.S. in Economics from the Universidad Católica Argentina and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business (NYU). Tristan is fluent in Spanish and English.

Sebastián Haloua | Managing Partner

Sebastian is a Managing Partner of the firm. He brings 18 years of experience in investment banking in Buenos Aires and London, where he was based from 1999 to 2006.
Before merging AST with Fenix Partners, he co-founded AST Partners, an investment banking firm focused on corporate finance advisory in Argentina, where he was involved in a broad range of assignments including M&A advisory roles and capital raisings in Argentina and Latin America. Prior to that, Sebastian was Associate Director at HSBC Bank (London, UK), where he specialized in acquisition financing and debt advisory with UK and European coverage.
Sebastián’s expertise includes M&A advisory, project financing and capital raising. He has experience in several industries, including Agribusiness (partial sale of Satus Ager to Victoria Capital, partial sale of Milkaut to Patagonia), Aviation (Menzies acquisition of Desacol), Infrastructure (Abertis acquisition of TBI) and Media (financial advisory to Grupo Prisa, Dixons, O2), among others.
Sebastian has an Economics degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and is fluent in Spanish and English.
